This morning, I had the opportunity to appear on FOX 29’s Good Day Philadelphia and participate in a mock Hi-Q Match along with one of my all-star teammates versus the hosts. The experience was awesome overall, though nerve-racking in the beginning (as you can probably tell in the clip).
For those of you who are unaware, Hi-Q, which was founded in Delaware County in 1948, is the oldest continuous academic quiz competition in the nation. This season marks the 70th anniversary of the competition’s founding, and to celebrate, it was decided that this season will be kicked off with a Celebrity Hi-Q Match. The match will consist of me and 11 other all-stars representing their respective high school teams, versus two teams made up of local celebrities and TV personalities.
My appearance on Good Day Philadelphia was all in an effort to advertise this Celebrity Hi-Q Match, which will take place tonight at Neumann University’s Bruder Life Center in Aston, PA at 5:30 pm. Tickets are available online and at the door, with rates such as $7 for children and teens, $10 for adults, and $25 for VIP tickets. All proceeds go toward keeping Delaware County Hi-Q running for many more years to come.
